Love harp music, love the Blues. Can’t suss out bending. I get a change in tone but it ain’t that ‘wail’ I so need! Can’t suss 2nd. position, where do I pucker to get piano C note on the 10hole diatonic? Can read the 5 lines a bit so could find the rest from piano C.
Hi Cliff. Thanks for your comments. If you have a C harp, middle C is 1 Blow. You have additional C’s in 4 Blow, 7 Blow and 10 Blow. On the same harmonica, cross harp means you’re working from the draw chord, which is G. The root note is in 2 Draw. 6 Blow is the next G up. These two can be connected using most scales by including a couple of bent draw notes. Your best best is to investigate this on YouTube, or book a lesson and I’ll be happy to get you set up.
